Questions to Ask a Worker

You can tell a lot about a person by how they answer questions.

  1. Are you professing?
  2. Are you an ordained minister of God?
  3. Who created the earth? The father or the son of God or the Holy Spirit?
  4. What is the name of the group that you belong to?
  5. Did you research this group thoroughly before you joined it?
  6. Do you believe you are a light in this dark world?
  7. Do you believe that God wants to hide his disciples of shine His light to the world where everyone can see?
  8. Can I publish the answers to these questions?
  9. If not, why?
  10. If I can prove that you are preaching heresies, do you believe I should keep going to your meetings?
  11. Do you believe that there is a spirit or spirits that are guiding you?
  12. If so, when did you receive this spirit or these spirits?
  13. Do you believe it is OK to lie to me?
  14. What do you believe people need to do to be saved?
  15. Who is the first person documented to start this group?
  16. Do you know who William Irvine was?
  17. Do you know who Jesus Christ is?
  18. If so, who do you believe he was?
  19. Who do you believe baptizes with the Holy Ghost?
  20. Have you been baptized in the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit by Jesus Christ?
  21. If so, when?
  22. What evidence do you have of this?
  23. If not, then why do you think Jesus Christ has not baptized you in the Spirit?
  24. Do you believe you are an apostle of God?
  25. Why or why not?
  26. Do you believe Jesus Christ is God?
  27. Do you believe that we should obey the laws of the land?
  28. Do you file individual income tax returns as required by Federal and State Law?
  29. What is the Biblical definition of sin?
  30. Are you saved?
  31. Why? What reasons do you have for being saved or not being saved or not knowing?
  32. How do you believe people get saved?
  33. What are your core religious beliefs?
  34. What are the works of God in your life that are the results of your belief?
  35. Do you teach that people need to "profess" to be saved?
  36. Do you know anyone that doesn't go to meetings that is saved?
  37. Do you have fellowship with anyone that doesn't go to meetings?
  38. What are their names?
  39. How long have you been preaching your gospel?
  40. If you died within five minutes of now, do you believe you are going to heaven?
  41. Are you homeless?
  42. Why don't you live in your own apartment or house?
  43. Are you aware of any workers that were convicted of molesting minors in the last ten years?
  44. Can you name these workers?
  45. What did you do about it?
  46. Are all the workers in agreement on doctrine?
  47. If not, what do they disagree on?
  48. What do you think of homosexuality?
  49. Is the Bible for it or against it?
  50. What do you think about homosexual workers?
  51. What is the workers teaching on remarriage after divorce when the first spouse is alive?
  52. Is your religious organization an for-profit or a non-profit group?
  53. Do you keep track of your income from preaching?
  54. Why or why not?
  55. Do you know where all the money goes that the older workers collect at conventions?
  56. Why do some overseers give elders money to invest in the stock market?
  57. Do you know exactly how much money the overseers send overseas into foreign bank accounts?
  58. Why do the overseers always have money to fly around but many younger workers are so poor?
  59. Do you believe it's OK for for workers to use their followers phone lines to connect to Internet and watch pornography on their laptop computers?
  60. Which leads more potential for sin: a tv, radio or internet
  61. Do you have a bank account?
  62. Who started this group?
  63. How many groups have broken off from this group? Do you know what the Irvinites believe? the Cooneyites?
  64. When did "meetings in the home" start?
  65. Where does the word "workers" come from?
  66. Where does the word "friends" come from?
  67. How did Jesus say offenses by workers should be handled?
  68. Do you know the Bible well enough to be preaching?
  69. Who do you say that you are?
  70. Do you believe you were called of God to preach? If so, why and what proof do you have?
  71. Do you believe with everything the overseer says? If not, what don't you agree with?
  72. Do you believe the ten commandments should be kept?
  73. If not, which one(s) should not be kept? and why?
  74. Can you list the ten commandments in order?
  75. Do you preach that people should keep the ten commandments?
  76. How old is the world?
  77. Do you believe God used evolution to create man?
  78. Who did Cain marry if God only created Adam and Eve?
  79. Do you believe Jesus is God?
  80. If not, who raised Jesus from the dead?
  81. Who said, " Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."
  82. Who is Jesus the son of? Who got Mary pregnant before Jesus was born?

I grew up in the Workers' Way and saw that the workers very softly and sweetly taught subtle lies in guile; I learned to associate "kindness" and "nice"-acting people with lies. I became confrontational to get answers. Now I'm learning to speak the full truth in love.
