What do False Prophets Look Like?

Workers Make Converts Twice the Children of Hell

Mat 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

Money Collection

Workers collect money through wills, letters, staying at people's homes and in handshakes at meetings. Workers go immediately to the exit door after meetings to collect money from their followers; They collect money through handshakes. If you have never seen this, you can stand near them at the end of meetings and watch their hands. Sometimes followers give them money in an envelope. Workers collect money through letters. They put addresses on workers lists so people know where to mail them money. Many 2x2 kids don't know this. I wanted to point this out because many people say that the workers don't take collections.

Pride

Psa 36:10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart. Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me. There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

Isolation

One of the biggest problems facing workers is their isolation from normal life. They live off others, don't have houses to maintain, don't work, don't have normal relationships with people and live in a largely pro-cult environment. They understand very little about normal everyday life and largely limit their communication to people who promote the cult. This makes them mentally inbred. Since they don't work normal jobs, they lack even normal coworker (no pun intended) interaction like in the common workplace.

They Live for the Overseer, Reject Truth, Choosing Instead the Overseers Lies

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

When I was a worker, I was told that my motto must be "With anyone, anywhere, anytime". I was to be willing to go to any field at any time with any companion. Favored workers may get to have a partial say about which field they get, or which companion. But if you have been displeasing the overseer by questioning him, or not praising him enough, then forget it. I even remember Harold Bennett speaking in convention after he basically elected himself to be overseer after Howard Mooney died, telling how he was told not to use his position of power to get revenge on people. I believe he said this to remind the workers that he had total control over them; he could make their lives miserable if they didn't worship him.

Servants to Overseer

When overseers are sick or dying, they may require the workers to attend to them to help them, fix their meals. When Howard Mooney was towards his last days before he was put in a nursing home, he called Jay Wicks over to fix him meals, just the way Howard Mooney liked them. Howard was a real complainer. Jay Wicks complained about how selfish Howard was. It was a real eye opener to see Howard Mooney's selfishness as I got to know him.

Their Desire to please overseer prohibits belief

Joh 5:44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

If a person does not desire God above anything and everybody else, they cannot believe. This desire to stay in the cult and please the overseer and others forbids them from believing in God.

Desiring Secrecy

Job 31:3 Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity? Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?

The apostle Paul preached Jesus Christ. But the workers preach about themselves and the 2x2 way setup by William Irvine. Paul wasn't crafty and didn't use brainwashing or word redefinition. The workers do: because they don't believe in the Jesus Christ who can save us from our sins.

2x2 Workers Control Through Fear

2x2 workers use fear and isolation to control their followers. They praise them sometimes and smile when they personally approve of their behavior (giving them money, inviting them to stay with them and feed them, buying them clothes, asking questions that glorify them). They frown when people ask them questions they don't like. They cast doubt and suspicion on people who question them and their teachings. The gossip and drop hints threatening to excommunicate people who don't "fit in". They promote isolationism and discourage people from listening to Christian music, from meeting with non2x2s to study the Bible, from talking with non2x2 relatives. They use fear to control others. This fear and control destroys both of them.

Workers are not Christians

In short, God said to love others. If we lie, we hate. 2x2 workers lie about the cult beginnings. Therefore, they do not follow God. see also in more detail Are 2x2s Christians?

Different Gospel and Spirit not of God

I will show through scripture (as I work on this page):

1. They do not bring the gospel of Jesus Christ
2. They take what Jesus taught, twist it, and use it to teach something against God
3. They do these things to gain a following after themselves
4. They possess a spirit that is not of God
5. They turn people against God

Sweet Words but Deadly Deception

Psa 28:3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.

The workers are very subtle deceivers. If you don't know the gospel, they will deceive you. If you want to know their subtle lies, then you need to know and meditate on the scriptures. Some workers are the most dangerous people I know, convincing people they are OK and leaving the people miserable and confused.

Paul the Apostle Took Wages

2Co 11:8 I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.

Changing Doctrines

Just like a harlot: has words smoother than oil, are sweet, changes her tactics to seduce a man; the same way, overseers can change their doctrine to seduce unsuspecting people into the cult. They don't care a whit about the word of God, unless they think acting like it will help you join the cult.

Pro 5:3 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.

Combined with the secrecy of the cult, their changing doctrines are used to deceive people and lead them to the depths of hell, pulling the life right out of them until they are rendered helpless and too weak to leave.

Read this. Does this fit the workers? I don't think so

1Th 2:1 For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:
1Th 2:2 But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.
1Th 2:3 For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:
1Th 2:4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
1Th 2:5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:
1Th 2:6 Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.
1Th 2:7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:
1Th 2:8 So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.
1Th 2:9 For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
1Th 2:10 Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:

Problems with workers:

Psa 5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

• Lie to people about origins of cult. Deceive people. Speak with guile.
• Add to Bible, teaching that Jesus instituted meetings in homes and ministry in pairs
• Add to Bible, teaching that people must sell everything in order to preach
• Preach another gospel - about a Jesus who set up a way. They don't believe Jesus IS the way
• Know and understand little about the Bible and what they preach. Don't know God personally
• Are secretive about their beliefs. Don't publish their beliefs.
• Teach through insinuation and peer pressure, threatening hell to nonfollowers
• Have an evil spirit and want people to receive the same spirit
• Use brainwashing tactics on people
• Redefine words so that other people cannot understand the scripture
• Teach things against the commandments of Jesus
• Don't believe in obeying God. Discourage those who do obey God.
• Are lazy, living off others, not doing the work of God but the work of the devil
• Spread lies and insinuate evil things to try to destroy people who warn others about them
• Cause doubt and despair in followers. Many don't know what they believe, are afraid to talk about it, don't know if they are saved, and don't even know if others are saved.

Deadly Tongue

Jer 9:8 Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.

2Co 4:1+ Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

Living out of suitcases and off of others

2x2 workers typically live out of suitcases. They have storage typically at a 2x2's somewhere in their "field".

Rules for workers by overseers

1. A simple understanding that workers recognize the world over is that we *don't go into other fields and get involved without the knowledge and sanction of the workers in that field. That applies to the field bordering us,** let alone the neighboring province. - Dale Shultz
2. You cannot marry in the work. You have to leave to get married
3. Do not contradict the theology of the overseer
4. Do not preach a different doctrine that what the current field workers are teaching
5. Younger workers must accept the older workers belief for the sake of unity in the field
6. Older workers make field lists
7. Older workers decide who becomes and elder and it must be approved by the overseer
8. If you dont' please the overseer, you may get sent to a lonely field with little money coming in

My Psalm

Psa 6:8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping. The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer. Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.

Short lived movement

Psa 37:1 A Psalm of David. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

God's answer to the prayer of those that fear for their life

Psa 64:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy. Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity: Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them? They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep. But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away. And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing. The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

When they will be destroyed

Psa 92:6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this. Psa 92:7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:

Job 34:21 For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings. There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves. For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God. He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead. Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed. He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others; Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways: So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted. When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only: That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.
