1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Seduction - Definition

To lead away by persuasion - 2x2s persuade people to come to meetings to "get answers" to their questions. They try to persuade people by only telling about parts of their religion that are attractive. But they become seduced, lose their good sense and start believing doctrines of devils.

To lead away by false promise - 2x2s promise people answers to their questions in meetings. But there are no answers to their questions, just a seducing spirit. They refuse to document their beliefs. The goal of meetings is to get people to receive these seducing spirits. They do the work.

Please notice that people "give heed to" seducing spirits. We need to not go where seducing spirits are present.

1. Do you believe that there are seducing spirits that people are giving heed to as Paul wrote to Timothy?
2. Did Satan seduce Eve into disobeying God?
3. Would it be a good idea for an ex-alcoholic go to a bar?
4. Would you want your spouse to go to a whorehouse?
5. Why go where there is a strong presence of evil spirits that lead away from God?
6. Would you want your spouse to spend time alone in the evening at another person's house of the opposite sex?
7. If you play with fire, do you you think you might get burned?
8. If we are knowledgeable about these earthly matters, how do you think this pertains to spiritual matters?
