Dress code

I've heard the workers teach their followers that they must wear dresses. I've heard several of the group discuss whethere its right or wrong for the workers to tell them to wear dresses or skirts when they feel pants would be more modest. Many women don't like how the workers tell them what to wear. I've heard workers complain at Boring convention about women wearing denim.

While the women are encouraged to wear skirts, some of the younger women wear skirts of thin material that can be seen through or have slits in the side that go up quite a ways to their waist.

Jewely is mostly forbidden. Even inexpensive jewelry. Women are allowed to wear their hair in braids, pony tails or down. Women are encouraged to dress like the women workers. Many of the women leaders wear drab clothing and look very unattractive.

This is what the Bible teaches:

1Ti 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array.

The Bible clearly does not speak against jewelry. It speaks in favor of modesty. It is against costly array.
