| Clothing appearances
There are several imporant dress appearance requirements among the 2x2s. The outward appearance depends on the norm in that town and the local beliefs.
Here is a rundown of the guidelines I learned as a worker:
Sunday Morning Meetings:
- Older worker : Suit, dress shirt, dress shoes and tie, jacket may be ommitted if it's too warm
- Younger worker: Suit, dress shirt, dress shoes and tie. Jacket may be ommitted if it's too warm.
- Elders: Dress shirt and tie. In smaller towns, men are permitted to wear more casual shirts and ties.
- Elders wife: Dress or more formal skirt
- Women: Dress or more formal or even casual dress skirt
- Men: Dress pants and dress shirt or casual dress shirt. "Faithful" men are expected to wear ties.
- Girls: A casual dress or casual dress skirts and long sleeve blouse. Girls are enouraged to wear their hair in buns and to look like the "sister workers".
- Boys: Dress pants or casual dress pants.
- Babies are allowed in meetings but may be required by the workers to sit by the doors so they can be taken out if they make too much noise. I've heard a worker rebuke a parent in the middle of the meeting and told them to take the kid out of the meeting.
