Why you shouldn't use cult tactics - God will punish you

So, what's the catch?

The barb on a spear is used to retain things that have been speared. For example, if you thrust a spear with a barb into an animal, they are not able to run away and will likely die. There are many aspects to 2x2s that are "easy to go into people" but hurt coming out. Flattery is easy to accept, but it wounds horribly. Have you ever had a fish hook stuck in your thumb? What if you are a man and sleep with a 2x2 woman and she gets pregnant? How easy is that to get out of? Or if a 2x2 man sleeps with a Christian woman? Now she feels like trash if she doesn't marry him. What if she gets pregnant? It's easier for the spear to go deeper, and the barb is to ensure the people don't leave the cult. What is the barb that makes the escape painful?

1. Pride. Being too proud to admit mistake can cause the spear of evil to go deeper and make leaving the cult even more costly.
2. Loving praise of others - Enjoying the praise of people in the cult can make it difficult to leave.
3. Appearance - You don't want to appear to have made a mistake. You think you are good person without God
4. Children - Getting pregnant and having a child can make it hard to leave an abusive relationship
5. Shame - Shame for getting involved with a cult member can make it difficult to leave a bad relationship that others are warning you about.
6. Embarrassment - Being too embarrassed to admit your faults and admit you were wrong in choices can cause you to stay in ungodly relationships
7. Lust - Lust of the flesh can cause a person to do things they know they should not do.
8. Greed - Wanting to marry a 2x2 who has money
9. Lies and Self-justification - Finding certain friends of yours to justify your bad choices and limiting their information can drive the spear deeper. Using them in a bad way to justify your actions can make it difficult later to change.
10. Fear - Fear of others not forgiving you can be used by Satan to persuade you to continue in an ungodly relationship with a cult member.

Remember

Jesus has paid the price for sin. If you are living in sin, God gives grace to the humble and can provide a way of escape from any temptation. He was tried in all points like as we are and feels for our infirmities.

Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Popping The Big Question

What would you trade in exchange for your soul?

There are many ways that the 2x2s try to recruit people into their recently established religion. Now that you've read this page, your blood is on your hands. I've warned you. Are you going to walk into the trap, or be wise and avoid it altogether?

Pro 1:17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
Pro 1:18 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.

Ways to get you to fall into their trap.

1. Lie about how the cult began

   Pro 26:28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

2. Flatter you - praise you to make you proud
3. Claim to be blessed by God by number of workers and people that have professed
4. Create division between you and your loving parents
5. Deceive you when you ask questions
6. Defend you for making bad choice of joining cult
7. Lie to comfort you
8. Repeat back to you things you want to hear

Pro 26:27 Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.

I think this is the most common recruitment method. Coworkers of 2x2s who are seduced by their spirit are invited to come to meetings. In the meetings they can accept the spirit in the meetings and be brainwashed into the workers way. This is the most effective recruitment method because it takes the burden of answering questions off of the followers and allows their spirit to do its evil work.

Girls and guys at school may be attracted to each other. When they become intimate, the girl or guy may invite the other person to come to meetings because they are forbidden to marry outside the cult. It is frowned on and many will condemn them. When the girl or guy doesn't come to meetings and starts asking questions, they may drop the relationship. I have gotten emails from guys wondering about their girlfriend's religions. I have been told by mothers in the 2x2 group and some guys that there is quite the problem of sexual promiscuity in Washington and California. Some girls even sleeping with over a dozen guys in their field. This is not surprising because sex may be one of their only sources of pleasure in their frustrated lives.

They may offer Bible studies. This sounds innocent enough. Some will resort to a Bible Study accommodating their belief to yours as much as their cult conscience allows all the while subtlety implanting cult redefinition of Biblical terminology in your mind.

A 2x2 person will want a relationship with a person of the opposite sex and will spend hours over the phone brainwashing them. The effects will cause alienation of child and parent. It will cause the child confusion and frustration. The child will often express fear of talking about the 2x2s and their beliefs. The child can even become violent, causing physical pain to their parent. This can be confusing and embarrassing to the child because they may be doing things they feel they cannot control. The child may feel addicted to this 2x2 person and unable to break free from their spell. The solution is to cut off the phone calls and teach them the Word of God. God's word is able to save people from destroying their lives and other's lives. God's word is able to teach people to build healthy relationships instead of destroying them.

Psa 140:9 As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
Psa 140:10 Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.

Mat 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Workers and some of their devoted followers may hand out invitations to come to their recruitment meetings. They may go door to door and just leave the invitations on the doorsteps. Many of the workers don't like their followers knocking on the doors because then their followers may have to explain their beliefs, and this would cause some serious problems for the workers. It would cause problems for the followers also, since they cannot explain what they believe in Biblical terms because it's not in the Bible. This method of reaching people by invitations isn't followed near as much because people have the Internet now and may search for these people's names and beliefs. Also their followers are too busy with the cares of life.

The invitations usually have one or two simple sentences on them insinuating that they are a Bible believing group and preach only about Jesus. Hah! More recently, they leave off their names, only putting phone numbers. Probably because people can Google their names to find out if they are part of the 2x2 cult.

When followers are asked about their beliefs, they ask people to come to the meetings and find out. This is foolish to me, because why would you want to come to a meeting if you didn't know what it is about? And it's rude to waste people's time. But I don't think the workers care about that because they want to deceive people anyway, so why would they care about wasting other people's time? The workers are looking for ignorant people that are easily duped anyway, so they don't want sharp people who ask questions.

Pro 1:32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

Recruitment Methods Seldom Used (if ever)

There are many recruitment methods not used by 2x2s. They don't use these methods because it draws attention to their organization, beliefs and raises too many questions. Here's some that I have not seen used:

• Radio advertisements
• Billboards
• White or Yellowpages
• Newspapers
• TV

The goal is to get you to come to meetings so they can get you to :

1. Believe they are a simple innocuous Bible-believing group
2. Be quiet in the meetings, silence all your thinking and get you to receive their spirit
3. Brainwash you in meetings to redefine Biblical words and twist scriptures to justify their lies
4. Get you to believe that they are of God, and part of God's plan. Read themselves into the Bible.
5. Convince you that since "they are of God" (they're not) that you must accept their word as God's word or
6. Make you believe that in order to accept God, you must accept them as God's Way (not Jesus Christ)

   Pro 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

7. Control your response through behavioral control: frowning when they disapprove of your behavior, smiling when they approve
8. Get you to support them with money, food and house them
9. Get into your home by doing Bible studies with you (typically want you to attend many meetings first)
10. Draw you away from your own emotional support from true friends so that you depend on the workers for your approval
11. Motivate you by fear of displeasing them or making them upset at you
12. Keep you tormented and always wondering about which rule of theirs you may break or what new rule they make for you

Having a college degree does not protect you from being involved in a cult.

• Is it worth going to hell to recruit people into the cult?
  
• Do you have anything to hide about your beliefs?
• If you don't have anything to hide, why don't you want people to know your beliefs?
• If you have escaped the cult, how long did it take you to get the workers Biblical word redefinitions out of your mind?
• Do you still refer to the cult as "the truth"?
