There are many people who love lies. They make lies, tell lies and enjoy hearing lies being told. Satan is the father of lies. God sends people delusions who don't believe the truth, people who have pleasure in unrighteousness.

Steps to loving righteousness and not being deluded:

1. Get to know God so people cannot deceive you about who He is.
2. Find pleasure in righteousness. Love others and take pleasure in loving others even as Jesus loves us
3. It is good to know the truth. Believe in the goodness of truth.
4. Read the Bible. Ask questions and find answers to those questions.
5. Ask people questions when they tell you things.
6. Many people tell lies. Finding out whether something is true or not requires more than a poll.
7. Be accurate and honest in witnessing what actually happens in life.
8. Gather friends around you who tell the truth
9. Gather friends around you who are honest with you even about your faults.

2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness
