Slander by 2x2s

Slander is reported to be used by some 2x2s to try to discredit people who have left the cult.

One 2x2 elder's wife is reported to have said "Since you left the truth, you must be mental."

1. It makes them look better than others (if the people don't do research on it)
2. It discredits the people being slandered
3. It arouses suspicion about the individual
4. It makes the person who has "left" look like they have lost their salvation

People who leave the cult should expect to be slandered.
