2x2s teach that you must deny yourself

For years I wondered why 2x2s harped on the subject of "deny yourself" with so much drive.

I have come to realize that the 2x2s have to deny a lot in order to be able to accept the worker's spirit.

  • Deny their own rational thinking
  • Deny their parents the honor God requires
  • Deny logical reasoning
  • Deny the truth of God
  • Deny the desires of their own flesh in order to continue William Irvine's teachings

I believe 2x2s have to do even that which is inconvenient to their own flesh in order to do the evil work that the spirit drives them to do.
