2x2 Followers are hammered with the message that the early believers worshiped in a home.

This is based on twisted interpretations of scriptures that they read things into.

The Bible is not focused on which building you must worship in. They are focused that you can only meet in a home. Passing around bread and wine to remember Christ is only allowed by the 2x2 workers to happen in a home in a meeting led by an elder.

2x2 followers who try to have Bible Studies with other people are slandered with "They are trying to start their own church" or "They're trying to get a following for themselves." Which is very hypocritical because it is exactly what William Irvine did when he started the cult.
