This was a principal foundational doctrine which made us as 2x2s more righteous than other "heathen" who worshiped God inside buildings built for worship. I was looking for scriptures where it says that Jesus instituted meetings in the home, but there are none by any stretch of the imagination. Here is a verse where they were met in home for fear of the Jews (not because Jesus instituted this) Joh 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. THE SABBATH IS THE LAST DAY OF THE WEEKAll caps is for emphasis, not to shout. Sabbath is from sundown to sundown. Evening and morning make up a day. (Gen 1:5, Gen 1:8, Gen 1:13, Gen 1:19, Gen 1:23, Gen 1:31). In the Gregorian calendar system, the Sabbath is Friday evening to Saturday evening. Read it in the scripture: Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. So when I write "sabbath", think the last day of the week, not the first day of the week Comments:
If you have any scriptural support for this heresy (Sunday Morning Meetings) or have heard of any from an overseer, worker or their followers, please contact me. Paul Preaching on Sabbath (last day of the week) in Synagogue :Act 13:14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. Act 13:15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on. Act 13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. Act 17:1 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: Act 18:3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.Lydia Saved and Baptized : Act 16:12 And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days.Days when Disciples met: Act 20:5 These going before tarried for us at Troas. I grew up in the Workers' Way and saw that the workers very softly and sweetly taught subtle lies in guile; I learned to associate "kindness" and "nice"-acting people with lies. I became confrontational to get answers. Now I'm learning to speak the full truth in love. | ||||||
